Are you tired of studying in the same spot in the library? Sometimes we need a change of location while studying, and doing it with a cup of coffee in hand makes it ten times better. Here are 5 of the best coffee shops for studying that are within walking distance from Tulane.

1. PJ's Coffee Shop

Starting off with a Tulane classic, locally owned and operated PJ's Coffee is the perfect place to grab a coffee and a croissant while starting on that essay you've been putting off. With 4 on-campus locations, you can get to a PJ's coffee shop in about 5 minutes from any Tulane building. My personal favorite location is the PJ's on Willow Street, with large booths inside for group study sessions, as well as benches outside to soak up some sun while getting work done. PJ's Coffee is the perfect option if you want to stay on campus but still try a new study spot.

Oh, and they take Wavebucks.

2. French Truck Coffee

Next is my personal favorite, French Truck Coffee. French Truck has the cutest outdoor seating for when you want to enjoy the weather. French Truck's famous New Orleans Iced Coffee is to die for, and they sell coffee grounds in-store as well. They have a variety of breakfast foods, such as a waffle sandwich, yogurt parfait, and different toasts, as well as salads and sandwiches for lunch.

3. Mojo Coffee House

Located on Freret Street, about a 15-20 minute walk from campus, Mojo Coffee House has all the necessary vibes for a coffee shop study sesh. Mojo Coffee has delicious lattes, such as the iced lavender latte, as well as light snacks such as breakfast burritos, muffins, and croissants to keep your study motivation at a high.

4. Humble Bagel

Right next door to Mojo Coffee House is Humble Bagel. As a New Jersey native, I didn't think I'd be able to find a good bagel anywhere but the Garden State, yet Humble Bagel proved me wrong. Made fresh every morning, the bagels are thick and fluffy. They come with a variety of toppings, such as flavored cream cheeses, and can be made into a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich.

5. Starbucks

I couldn't write this article without including the oh-so-popular coffee shop chain, Starbucks. Tulane students are minutes away from the Starbucks on Loyola's campus, or about 15 minutes to the one on Freret Street. With the new holiday drinks just recently being released, like the iced sugar cookie almond milk latte, now is the perfect time to grab your books and head over to Starbucks to try a new holiday drink while grinding out your work.

I hope this list will help you to find the perfect coffee shop for staying on top of exams and staying caffeinated.
